Alright, so there is no real "color theme" for the wedding...I am basically going for romantic, and whimsical.
That being said, the BM and MOH still need to be dressed in SOMETHING so I must pick colors. I''m a big fan of black and white- but FI is in ALL black, I''m in white and the groomsmen will be in black as well- I didn''t want it to look like a funeral, so I told the girls to pick colors they liked and I''ll make it work.
My first girl picked black (which is okay)- so that leaves me with TWO.
The second just emailed me with a dress she ordered, that I love.
so my question to you, what color should the third dress be? (the last dress is my MOH).
I will attach a picture of the second dress, the first is black so I don''t have a picture of it..just picture black.

A bit about the wedding- it will be in a log house, with candles and white lights, at night- during winter (don''t worry about the dress or anything, we''ll be kept warm!)
remember the winter romantic feel!
Thanks!

Sorry, I don''t have a dress suggestion, but I do want to remind you that even if you have mostly black attire, you can always add color with the flowers. That will definitely help keep it from looking like a funeral. I''ve seen a lot of weddings that use all black and then use a punch of color like red flowers, and it looks so romantic! Good luck with the dress search.

Thanks! I''m looking more for a dress color vs an actual dress- I figure if I can guide my sister in the right direction, she will find a dress that fits her nicely.
I know that all black isn''t bad, I still wanted to do it, but one of my friends doesn''t like the idea of black (and I know its my day) BUT I understand what she means on her- so she picked the blue dress above, so all three dresses will be different colors/styles.. I do love the blue above though, so I just need to find the missing piece!
I was thinking a dark crimson red, or a champagne/gold, not sure..

Your wedding is one red dress away from being the wedding in the Sex and the City movie! I'm loving that blue dress ridiculously much!

ETA I was referring to the blue dress your maid picked, btw, not to the one in the pic I just posted! Figured I'd clarify!

Ooh! That is VERY sex and the city... I love it!

I finally got to talk to my sister earlier today (different time zones) and I was telling her what colors I would suggest to keep an eye out (until I got a better idea from you lovely ladies) and I was telling her red, at first I said crimson red, and then told her ACTUALLY we should go with a brighter red and checked that that was okay with her- and she said sure! (I hadn''t seen any updates here yet)
I had forgotten about the sex and the city, and seeing the picture totally made me "see it" for my wedding! So, a million thank you''s! I think that will actually be perfect! (because there''s no real color theme!)
SO for now, unless there are other ideas- red it is I think! I''m very excited now thank you!

As for the dress I posted, I KNOW! My friend bought it off forever21.com she LOVES that site, and got the dress for like $40, and she fits in those clothes well- so hopefully the dress will be her!

An emerald green color might look nice too - then you''re keeping in the same tone as the blue - might be a bit easier to get flowers to match that way.

I love the sex and the city idea but I also agree with laurel25 that a pretty jewel tone green would be lovely as well and fit betting in a cohesive way. But if you''re after the wow factor, definitely go with the red.

i like the idea of green, too...or purple...or, okay, i''m going to stop because i''m a color nut, so i could go on all day! just uh...please don''t staple an entire bird to the side of your head; i love carrie bradshaw, but WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT ABOUT!?

hahahahhaa.
I like purple too, as well as green. A beautiful emerald green could also be nice. I''m more for solid colors vs. pale colors...but I guess emerald green best describes it? Or purple...well, the dark purple that seems "in" at the moment.. both would be beautiful.
I will pass those colors along to my sister to go shopping, I think it might be easiest to find a nice price on red because its such a popular Christmas color!
I will keep you posted.

ps. no birds will be attached to anyones head. haha

I think a deep purple would look fantastic!

Or maybe silver? For a winter wedding, royal blue and silver is a nice combo... I do my xmas tree up in blue and silver. And I think like red, you''ll be able to find a lot of silver dresses around christmas-time and new years.
