Hi all

Please could I have your views on these four diamonds. As far as my rudimentary mind can tell, they all have the recommended proportions for a "super ideal" diamond and the ASETs all look good:

I'd appreciate views on anything I'm missing and whether you think they are value for money (for comparison, here is a fifth diamond from James Allen which seems to be a bit cheaper: https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-di...rat-i-color-vs2-clarity-ideal-cut-sku-2430901).

My priority is light performance over colour or clarity. I prefer fire over brilliance but would ideally like a balance between the two.

Many thanks!

All of the CBI diamonds will be great performers. I would choose the 1.08 due to the H color and the numbers on the stone - great balance of brilliance and fire! The James Allen stone would be nice as well with a savings but given the choice, I'd go with the superb cutting of the CBI stones and their trade in policy should you ever decide to upgrade the stone.

The cut quality of the JA stone is not up to par with the HPD stones. The HPD stones are cut to a very strict set of standards. Your decision between
the 4 depends on your priorities.

size over color and cost pick the first one
color over size and cost pick the second one
color over size/lowest cost, pick the 3rd stone - ask about the aset image...the photog on it looks a little messed up.
not sure why you would pick this stone over stone 3 (an H) (you can ask them that question)

If I were you I would call them and talk to them about the 4 stones. They may have some insight that could help you make a decision.

You can't go wrong witn HPD

Thank you all.

To be honest, the 1.16 CBI is a bit more than I can afford right now. While it would be good to get some more carat for the money, I'd prefer a CBI diamond to the James Allen diamond given CBI's reputation on here and that I will be able to the CBI diamonds in person before buying.

For the other CBI diamonds I guess I'll go with whichever one most catches my eye - is it likely that any non-expert would be able to tell a size difference between 1.03c and 1.08c (or even between 1.03c and 1.16c)?

By looking at the mm, I think i would be able to tell the difference between the 1.16 and 1.03, if by nothing else, the size. It's all good. Just get a few in your hands and see what you think. I think the HPD stones will blow your socks off. They did mine.
