Can some diamond experts help me find the best quality diamonds for studs? Roughly 1ct each stud (~2 ctw). I’d like the best cut and light performance (sparkliest) as possible. Not sure how the search parameters differ for earrings vs those for rings, given the viewing angle, location etc. What search parameters am I looking for for these? TIA!

If you want the best cut for light performance, I would recommend looking at Whiteflash. Not sure what your color/clarity/price preferences are, but those ACA diamonds are gorgeous. I have had two pair of them and I absolutely love them.

On Whiteflash, you can search for diamond pairs, which are well matched in terms of cut, colour, clarity etc.

Thank you both! I’m interested in the white flash hearts and arrows collection as I’d like super ideal cut. But it’s my understanding that hearts and arrows does not equate to excellent light performance. That I need to find both. How do I know which have the best light performance? I’m also confused by this image. Is it saying those on the left are better for earrings because some believe diamond specs don’t have to be as high for studs as opposed to earrings? Or because they have better light performance as studs? I prefer gold jewelry if that matters. IMG_0357.png

Go to the Whiteflash.com website. There is a wealth of information to be found there. Their ACA diamonds do exhibit hearts and arrows and are evaluated for light optimal light performance. When I buy diamonds - for ring, earrings or pendant, I want the best in performance. You can do searches here on Pricescope for ACA diamonds too.

Hearts and arrows do not necessarily mean excellent light performance, but the ASET and Ideal-Scope images that Whiteflash provides for all their in-house stones prove that those stones have superior light performance.

What is your budget? We can help you search.
