Hi,

I was here a few weeks ago with a bit of a dilemma (https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/engagement-ring-fancy-brown-with-halo-help-please.187498/) and everyone was super helpful.

We actually looked at a few colored rings in person and my bf didn't like them. So, we are going with a round brilliant as it turns out, with the idea of still upgrading it to a cushion later :)

We are pretty much decided on a stone but I was just given another option and wanted PSers advice please! Just to make sure I make the right decision :)

Both stones are exact same carat weight, I SI1, very similar price points.

Stone 1:

GIA Cut Grade: Excellent
AGS Light Performance: Ideal
Optical Symmetry: Premium
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Excellent
Fluorescence: None
Culet: None
Girdle: Medium to Slightly Thick
Lab Report: GIA
Width: 9.28mm
Length: 9.22mm
Depth: 5.72mm
Table Percentage: 58.00%
Depth Percentage: 61.80%
Crown ∠: 35.50°
Pavilion ∠: 41.00°

ASET looks good, haven't seen the stone in person.

Stone 2:

Lab: GIA
Cut: Ideal
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Very Good
Fluorescence: None
Table: 60%
Depth: 60.9%
Girdle: THN to Slightly THCK
Culet: None
Measurements: 9.32mm x 9.37mm x 5.69mm
Crown ∠: 32
Pavilion ∠: 41.8

I have seen the second stone in person and really liked it.

What do you think between these two?

Definitely the first one for me. But I'd have to see the idealscope or ASET to be sure. The second one has too low a crown angle and the table is larger than I like.

If you saw the second and really liked it, order the first one, it is at least as good if not better.

Here's the first stone (btw also my pick based on the metrics). Plus GOG were super helpful throughout the process.

I don't have ASET or Idealscope for the second one. I guess I could request it but I am leaning towards the first one anyway.

I saw the second stone at a jeweler next to a few others and was very impressed with its performance - I assume due to the cut. It didn't have a ton of contrast but quite a bit of "fire" and really sparkled. I am hoping the first one will be at least comparable if not better.

Thanks! That's what I am also thinking but wanted to confirm. The PSers have this amazing wealth of knowledge!!! :)
