All depths and tables are within Grade 1A for oval cut (crown height stats not available) and all are GIA cert

The thing is, my bf doesn''t like the idea of an H - he''s a colour snob (what have I done to him??!!) whereas I''m a size queen - even tho I''m trying to persuade him that the faint flour. will help the diamond face up whiter and the better clarity may more than make up for the lower colour.

Anyway, I know ovals need eyeballing above all and we are sending the first 2 to an appraiser, hopefully, just would like some feedback on what you guys all think initially and if you think that the H is also worth sending for appraising. And would you rather sacrifice colour for clarity or vice versa?

Hello, I think ovals are gorgeous! Have you asked your consultant at WF which oval they recommend? I bet they could tell you best

I would ask Brian to give his expert eye.

You really have to have pictures of ovals (and any shape other than rounds) to make a decision.

I think you are doing the right thing in sending the diamonds to an appraiser, along with WF''s expert staff''s advice. There isn''t a lot we can say as we need pics, and preferably an ASET image, as these aren''t in house diamonds by the look of it where these are easily available. So see what you think when they reach the appraiser and let us know what the verdict is!

hi, no, I don't think m bf's asked WF's opinion and think he's dealing with someone called Traci... is Brian in a better position to advise? I appreciate that the appraiser will be able to give a better judgement as to best stone and that it's difficult without pictures but generally what do people think about dropping down the colour scale slightly for higher clarity?

ETA - and I'm trying to convince my bf that the H colour stone should be sent to the appraiser at all, please help me by giving reasons why he should!

Brian is a straight shooter and has always helped me when I need advice. So ask him!!

Good luck!!
