Help Choose Diamond

I like the .95 F, the I color looks pretty dark in the video. But that’s going purely off what I see in the video, not any knowledge about stats, etc.

I am not loving either one of them. The first one is too deep at 63%. The second one has values in the recommended ranges, but I don't love the overall look of it and think it looks darker than most I colored stones. It's also a VVS stone, which IMHO means you are paying a lot for something you can't see.

Also, Brilliant Earth is a horrific vendor. Feel free to search for stories about them. They are not trustworthy and are very overpriced.

Can you tell us what you are looking for in terms of size, budget, color, clarity?

Something between .9 and 1 carat, I color or better, best cut possible, and SI1 or better. I've looked at Blue Nile and James Allen as well but BE had a stone I really liked that I bought but then was told it wouldn't be able to ship for weeks maybe months. I was going to get my money back and go somewhere else but I haven't found anything I'm looking for much, if any, cheaper anywhere else. JA has some in my price range (ideally not much more than 4k) but they all have big inclusions right on the top. I'm open to other options, and plan on looking more, but I'm getting a discount from them due to my first choice not shipping. BN seems more expensive than any of the three so I figured with the discount I'd be just as well going with BE as long as it was GIA certified. I don't really know what I'm doing though which is why I came here.

Many vendors will have a shipping delay due to COVID19. So 4K for the stone alone, or does that include a setting? I can look around.

That's just for the stone, I've already got a setting. They gave me a list of diamonds that were on hand that they could ship right away and those were the two best ones I saw on that list.

Thanks!!!

This is the setting I got and there's a jeweler here in my hometown that will set it for me. Also, I do like that stone!

Perfect. Glad you already know who is setting it. I would make 100% sure that you know what mm dimensions will fit in the setting, since the mm size is that matters more than the ct weight (e.g. deep stones will have more ct weight but smaller mm across). I wouldn't want you to get a stone that won't fit!

That I don't know. When I bought the setting I gave Ramsey's the dimensions of the stone I had originally purchased, which was a .96 ct 6.36 x 6.33 x 3.87mm, and they said it would fit no problem but if I get the one you found I may need to double check with those dimensions.
Thank you so much for all your help with this!

So did OP purchase the 1st stone?... it appears to have sold.

I didn't. I'm looking at the GOG stone and waiting on my refund from BE.

Sorry for riding onto this thread. Just want to ask for experts opinion about https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-di...f-color-vs1-clarity-excellent-cut-sku-7834363

will be a better diamond?

Hi @Damien ...could you please start a new thread so we dont get your responses and jmb's responses confused. You'll need to request
the GIA report on the JA stone and post that on your thread...otherwise, we cant tell you much. Something about the JA stone is out of
range because it does not pop up when I set the depth/table values within favorable range...anyway, please start a new thread and we'll
help you out.

@tyty333 Alright thanks, I will start a new thread. Apologies.
