1.3ct F VVS2 for $12000
HCA is 1.4 ex ex ex vg
https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-di...-color-vvs2-clarity-excellent-cut-sku-3722522

Table: 56%
Depth: 62.6%
Crown angle: 35.5
Crown %: 16%
Pavilion angle: 40.6
Pavilion %: 43%
LWD: 6.97 x 6.94 x 4.35

Apologize for the second post here. This is still for my sister, who just downgraded to below 1.5ct stones.
The Depth and Crown are not optimal here... What do you think? (She really likes it...)

This is the ideal scope image. I have not yet learnt to read the image... Not sure if there is leakage under the table.

HCA of under 2 indicates crown and pavilion angles are complementary. Not sure what you mean by 'not optimal'? Higher crown and small-ish table should give good coloured 'fire'.

I understand that some IS images are over-exposed, showing lighter areas (leakage) under the table than they should, so the HCA score suggests there is no issue with leakage under the table in this instance.

Thank you everyone! This is the other one in the "help choose between the 2"
1.3ct, F, VVS2, No Flour

HCA is 0.7 ex ex ex vg, is it too low? (it is in the "best for necklace" range)
Blue nile does not give aset or ideal scope...

My (and my sister's) genuine gratitude to those who helped me in the selection process.

My understanding is that lower HCA indicates shallower stones, which may exhibit increased obstruction at closer distances and therefore be more suited to earrings and pendants, where people looking at them are likely to be further away (so not blocking light and causing obstruction) and being worn vertically instead of horizontally, they have fewer direct/face-on light sources to be obstructed (because most light sources are overhead in day-to-day situations).

I may be wrong, though, so Garry Holloway (on here as @Garry H (Cut Nut) ) may be able to advise.

That said, IIRC the missus' CBI stone was 0.9 HCA, and there are NO issues with looking dark or obstructed at closer distances!
