Greetings diamond aficiandos! I have a few questions about engagement rings...

I''m looking to pair a 1.75 carat round (ideal cut, I color) with the following settings, but I can''t decide which. Has anyone seen these settings in person? Or can advise on the look? Or even upload pictures of their similar rings?

Just for background, I''m 30 with a 4.75 ring size and my conisderations are...

1) Which setting would make the center stone pop or look bigger? I''m concerned that with sidestones, it would compete with the effect of the center stone. If I''m going to a 1.75 carat weight, I would want it to show off.

2) Which setting doesn''t sit too high?

3) Do you think a 6 prong makes the center stone look bigger than a 4 prong?

2) Setting Options:
Option 1: Blue Nile Nouveau Ring and Band http://www.bluenile.com/diamond-engagment-ring-set-platinum_7972
Option 2: Blue Nile 6-prong Nouveau Ring http://www.bluenile.com/diamond-engagement-ring-platinum_12927
Option 3: Blue Nile Prong-Set Ring and Ban http://www.bluenile.com/diamond-engagement-ring-setting_8308

some people find that 4-prong settings make the diamond look more ''square'' than 6 prong settings, but I think this effect is lesser as the stone gets bigger. I think both settings you showed are lovely and pretty similar in many ways. What do you like about each?
