HELP! Can D color be cloudy?

I think I rushed into buying a diamond. I just purchased a D color marquise, IF clarity, NO fluorescence, but it seemed "whiter" (NOT clearer) than 2 other stones with the same color, clarity, and fluorescence. What could be a possible reason that this diamond was "white" ? Does this mean it has less brilliance than the others? Should it have been more of a clear color? Thanks for any help you can provide!
