HELP - I am torn between two diamonds and I need some expert advice on which is the better stone overall:

First:
Weight: 1.70
Color: G
Clarity: VVS2
Depth: 61.1
Table: 57
Crown Angle: 34
Crown Height: 14.5
Pavillion Angle: 40.8

Second:
Weight: 1.78
Color: H
Clarity: IF
Depth: 61.1
Table: 56
Crown Angle: 34
Crown Height: 15
Pavillion Angle: 40.8

The second one is better. I imagine it costs a lot more than the first one though, so not really an apples to apples comparison.

From the angles, they are about equal. But, I greatly prefer the smaller table of #1. Can the vendor get you and Idealscope (IS) or ASET?

They are both very high clarity, which may be your desire, but if it is not necessary -- you can save a lot be dropping clarity to VS. These have images available and look great.

Actually it costs $200 less than the first one

I'm curious, how? It is better color, clarity, and larger size. I don't know enough about the angles and dimensions to be able to give advice (I still have to ask about those myself), I'm just genuinely curious. :)

Just curious what info you are using to say that the second one is better?

Im scratching my head thinking the same thing.

My guess is that they are either from different suppliers or the color is driving a lot of the price.

Edit to add: Is one fluorescent?

Michael R...from the numbers you have given us, both these stones have potential. Do you have any images, idealscope images, asets or anything
else for us to go on? Links to the stones? Put them on hold before providing links.

My amateur opinion. The angles are almost identical, but the second one is larger and a higher clarity grade, and 1 color grade lower. I would think that the 2nd one would be more expensive but apparently it's not.

Is the first stone also from Four Mine?

Only have a picture for the first one the G/VVS2
attachment

The First Stone G/VVS2 has Faint flouresence and the Second Stone H/IF has None
