We have been ring shopping for quite some time, and it is time to buy one. We've looked on James Allen and Blue Nile. I don't like the settings at JA and BN doesn't show actual photos of the diamonds. Does anyone have site recommendations for buying loose diamonds where you can see a real picture of the diamond? Thanks in advance!

Good Old Gold has pictures of all their diamonds, except perhaps the very newest listings that they put up (pics are added later, though.) GOG has lots of video tutorials and can make movies of diamonds that you are interested in for comparisons. Often has a live B-Scope report that you can watch online.

Whiteflash shows still photos of at least their in-house diamonds.

HighPerfomance Diamonds (a.k.a. Wink) has videos of his in-house Infinity diamonds. Photos for all listed.

Those are the ones that I can think of right away.

JA has great stones if you search for them. Plus the customer service is top notch. You don't have to buy the settings from there.

Good Old Gold, James Allen, Whiteflash(in house stones), Brian Gavin(in house). You can buy the setting elsewhere and can send it to the vendor who you buy the stone from.

What kind of diamond are you looking for? Whiteflash and BG are good for rounds and princesses for the most part. GOG for rounds and some fancies, but mostly their own branded cut. These places will source more for you but if you're looking for a fancy I would really stick with JA, then just see id they can ship your diamond to a place that'll have your setting. Or just get the loose one and get it to someplace with the setting you like yourself.

Sorry, I should have said. We are looking for asschers. They are so hard to shop for when you can't see the pictures.

JA is really the place you would want to go to look yourself. Or you could contanct GOG and see what they could find for you. They would send you losts of info on the stones they would source for you

I typically like Good Old Gold for Asschers because they usually have a good selection in house. James Allen is also a good place to look. We can help you pick 3 to get ASET images on and investigate further. Just list your budget and desired specs.

I'm throwing a jab out here and suggesting you call ID jewelry in the NY diamond district.

also, gypsy has a great thread on here from earlier in the year about things to look for when looking at asschers. I wish I bookmarked it, but maybe if you search it'll pop up.
