Help buying custom ring

I'm looking for some expertise in buying a custom made setting.

The above link is the original design, I've taken pictures of it to a jeweler along with the change I'd like made.

Instead of 24 .025 channel set diamonds, I'm going with 8 .05 VS1 G-H.
My question, is the price quoted to me for this work reasonable?

My problem is, I'm in a small area and there aren't alot of jewelers to pick from, and this is the only one that appears to do custom work so I can't do much shopping around.

Why not get a quote from James Allen? They are supposedly reasonable and can send you CADs and such before the wax is made...

It doesnt sound too high. Maybe just a tad but definitly not way out of line. Did you ask Whiteflash for a quote.
Here is a similar setting. They would have to change the head and add engraving.
