Now, I wondering GIA Vs IGL Vs EGL - price difference sometimes substantial, not sure, what to do. Like I found a guy on Ebay selling 3.65 carat with 30 day money back guarantee 3. 63 carat- He said GIA will not come back with less than K color grading, SI1, ex cut and clarity. First, of all I don't even know what is the turn around time for GIA lab to grade it and send it back. He would only take bank wire, he has 100 % rating on EBAY, gave me his number. What do you guys think ? Is he legit, the diamond looks ok in the video. He is asking $21k. Seems low for a 3.65, I could be wrong. Please help.

Don't buy on ebay. Please look at one of the vendors that are recommended on PS and purchase through them. You will have more consumer protection that way than spending that much dough on eBay.

Ebay link???

Yeah, don't buy this stone. You might lose your money for a start and you have NO idea what you're actually buying. A GIA XXX K SI1 will set you back around $35K in that size (just have a quick look at any of the recommended vendors sites, or use the diamond search facility in the Resources tab above). Or let us know what you're after and we'll help!

If a deal is too good to be true especially with diamonds walk away.

I agree with the others. I would NOT make such a big purchase on ebay. The stone does not have a GIA cert yet? That would be pretty scary! I am pretty sure no one is going to give away a $30,000+ stone for $21,000. You can get a great deal on a diamond if you shop right, but not a steal. That sends up red flags for me.

Trying to stick to the low end budget wise...
You can ask about these...see if you can get idealscope iamges.
https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-di...j-color-vs2-clarity-excellent-cut-sku-2598400 ask about grading based on internal graining

Another one that might be worth asking about...

There are others like these that you need to check on the clarity and see if you can get idealscopes to
check on leakage. These arent perfect stones but I am trying to maximize size while keeping budget
in mind.
