I bought stones on e-bay before, but never over 10k... does anyone know this seller or can confirm that the specs add up?

Hi Anthony,

I would recommend you check out Whiteflash, Wink Jones, Good old Gold etc if you want a superideal hearts and arrows diamond.

It''s your money, But I would not even consider sending my hard earned money to this seller.

$42,000 Aproved retail Value for $20,000 not a super deal??

A few Big red flags

New seller with 1 feedback
International Diamond Exchange District, Israel
Fire like non other!
EGL SI2

You should check them out thru ebay?.......But seriously, I prefer to buy more locally in the States.

Hmmmmmm... lets say its all legit, is it worth the price? I am in Ibiza, a 3 hour flight to Israel, I''ll go pick it up if its a great deal! LET ME KNOW ASAP!!!!

P.S. besides just having 1 feedback, what are the red flags???

No it is not a good deal, it has an EGL report and the starting bid is 20k amongst other things, I compared it to one which is sold, but is a superbly cut ASG0 superideal from Whiteflash, AGS grading report, one colour grade down - G - but a clarity grade up ( assuming of course the Ebay diamond is accurately graded), came in at slightly less than 20k bankwire. I would pass on the above diamond for many reasons.

hmmm, the strong blue flour. is a turn-off for me at this point.
I got a response from the seller on ebay, willing to close for $19,500.00 delivered with my choice of carrier.

my internal patience clock is ticking!!!

Has the seller said that the images on the link, such as the hearts and arrows images and the pic of the diamond are the ones of this diamond he has for sale?

YES, they are specific to the diamond mentioned, I''m sitting on thorns here!!!!

Anthony - I would say to pass on this diamond, but if you are absolutely determined, this is my advice. Can you please hold your fire, it is early for the real experts to be online at the moment, can you wait until one of them can look at the link?

Would you consider buying from one of the Pricescope vendors? We can help you find a fabulous diamond from a trusted vendor that you will love with no flags to worry about.

Good!! That is a lot of money, we want you to get a fab diamond you will love from a known seller, I know how exciting it can be, but a cautious approach will serve you well.

Lorelei as you can see the realistic photo is not the same diamond as the arrows photo.

Oh, and what a surprise!!!

This other diamond from the same vendor has the same H&A's photo!!!

And even more cleverer - the same diamond was used for both those realistic photo's - the stone was moved a little and different lighting - but it is the same stone.
What a surprise indeed!!!

No.

I am starting to calm down here! but here is a response I just got:

Hello Antonio,

I appreciate your concern about the pictures. Since we are diamond manufacturers and exporters of triple excellent Hearts and Arrows diamonds I can assure you that we have the strictest policy when it comes to super ideal. Currently, our technical staff who lists our items on e-bay are advancing themselves with the proper e-bay listing education. I can guarantee you with a full money back that the diamonds pictured, and all relevant information is accurate to the tee even if it looks similar to another "similar" diamond that we are listing. I look forward to meeting you in person this week if you do not mind the travel.

Regards,
Eli

I know what you mean.... but! in the last 3 years i've successfully and CHEAPLY bought on ebay: 2 medium-priced cars, a cute lil' motorboat, 4 Rolex presidentials and a 18kt Daytona with diamonds, countless mens and ladies rings and some random stuff here and there along with every computer I own! and not to forget... some of my treasured studio equipment! Not the first time I am planning/buying a loose on e-bay but first time from this seller which is why I dont really mind taking off for a few days. I also have a week off of work !

Do a search on here for "ebay diamond", and if you run into 2Artist''s thread, read that one in particular.

It''s just not the place to be buying an expensive diamond.

Anthony,

Almost all your threads seem to be looking for the deal of the century for a superideal diamond. All I keep seeing is EGL certs and ebay. The simply fact is if you want a true superideal you are going to pay for it. The online vendors at PS give very fair prices on outstanding diamonds.

You are not going to go on ebay and get the same quality diamond as these vendors have and somehow pay $10K less than they sell it for.

Remember, there are no free lunches.

True... true!
but, im gonna do it!!!!
im flying out tomorrow afternoon to meet these guys, and im taking some of my "stock" to compare it with :-)
I set myself a "limit" of three stones this season, I got one down, now going to take care of the next two! If these guys have the stock they claim they do, im sure we''ll close a good deal on two, or maybe ill take one from them and the other from a PS associate! I don''t mind getting my feet wet here and there. This will indeed be very interesting! i''ll keep whoever wants to be, posted!

Antonio Ibiza aka...

P.S. the owner of the venue I perform at just showed me a CLEAN NATURAL 1 CARAT RED DIAMOND!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WAS IN AWE! aren''t they worth like $2 mill a carat??????

Okay, EGL SI2? If for no other reason than this, DON''T DO IT!!

Look at the picture, right behind the "mon" of "diamonds"...... there is a great big cloud! It''s right on the table!

I actually think the stone in the fire picture (all colorful) looks like a CZ from the girdle.

Troll.

Upgradable there is no way these are actual images of this ebay companies diamonds - the H&A''s images are used on both the 1ct and 2ct stones I looked at.

I''m not understanding why you asked for advice when your mind was obviously made up. I know I don''t have $20k to throw around like that, but if you do then I wish you well.

Girlie-girl just asked the question that was going through my mind... why ask for advice when you aren't going to listen?

OK, you're FLYING out to meet these people? WHAT?!

All the experts are saying this is a really bad idea. Listen to them!

They're using stock images and lying about it. An EGL F SI2 out of Israel isn't going to be an F SI2. Even if that weren't the case, and everything is as described, Lorelei just conclusively proved it's not a good deal like you're hoping even if it WERE an F Si2 true ideal cut (which again, this one just isn't gonna be). But I would guess it's not going to be even that good of an outcome. Why on earth are you wasting your time and considering rewarding these ... um, people... with your hard earned money?!

I'm sorry if I sound a bit harsh, but I really, really think this can't end well for you if you keep talking with these people and end up spending a LOT of money with them. If your cash is burning a hole in your pocket, why not buy from an established vendor and make sure you aren't going to really regret your purchase?

Good luck.
