HELP! ASSCHER Diamond

I am helpng my son shop for an asscher diamond for his soon to be fiance. She wants an asscher or princess diamond and cares only about size. She is from Texas. An Indian jeweler who is a business associate of my husbands has found us a 2.carat ring. Color-H Clarity -VS1 table -59.5, tab.dep - 69.6 proport -VG FLOUR V.S. I am worried about the flourescense. The price is $10.600. Is this a good price.? Does this sound like a good diamond? Help. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks Daune

Way underpriced for the specs.
Unless its from a private buyer in distress thats a huge red flag.
Which lab is the grading report by if there is one?

Well, if all she cares about is size, I would think it wouldn't really matter. I mean, do the other specs beside carat weight matter? I thought that was what people did that wanted the biggest size they could get-sacrifice all the other things.

Also, if size is what she wants, asschers are not the way to go. They definitely look smaller than other cuts.

Anything that sounds too good to be true...usually is, and you get what you pay for. Echoing other comments with an asscher I would NOT take that risk. A decent 2 ct starts at just under 14K. I guess if size is all that matters you could consider it but I would personally be very leary

. Before you/your son buy give some of the reputable vendors on PS a call GOG, James Allen, WF, ERD etc.
