Help and opinions on round brilliant from JA

Hi all,

I'm located in Sydney Australia and am looking at buying a round brilliant diamond set in six claw solitaire setting for an engagement ring. My budget is US$5K (excluding setting).

Hoping the good people on the forum are able to provide some advice on some round brilliant diamonds from JA.

I've been reading forum threads and other sources of information to increase my knowledge on diamonds but it's so much to digest!

Below are the diamonds that appear to be nice but would like your opinions and what I should be looking for when browsing diamonds on JA.

You have the last one listed twice - it's the same stone

The HCA scores are good on the first and last, the middle one is worth further investigation. If these are the 3 you've narrowed it down to, the next step is to ask for idealscope images on all of them. They all look nice -

HCA = 1.9 - 0.83-carat-d-color-vs2-clarity-excellent-cut-sku-542987
HCA = 2.4 - 0.80-carat-g-color-vs2-clarity-excellent-cut-sku-603234

Thanks for the response. Is approximately 0.80 carat the largest for this price range with EX?

Ooops, this was the other one I was looking at but is the depth too much at 63?

I think you want to stay at 62.2 or less in terms of depth.

I've been using a criteria and HCA to weed out the poor performing diamonds.

It's really hard work !!!

I've asked for ideal scope images from James Allen but have been advised the diamonds aren't located in New York so images can't be provided
