I like either option, both are going to be eye clean within 10”, if WF takes your trade in then you can have then do a comparison to help in how deciding factor. They are very straightforward

This is the setting I am look at and The jeweler kept saying she is not making money on my stone and she is also doing a buy back from me, she said she is only making money from the setting. I don’t know if that is really true, but here is the setting she showed me.

I’ve been told this before and it PISSES ME OFF. Such terrible customer service.

Anyway, of the two, the smaller one seems better cut. Not ideal, there is light leakage. I’d keep looking

So I'm biased for sure but my favourite is this one: https://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-4022273.htm

Of the two I coloured ones you found in the ACA range I prefer the one without the indented natural. If Whiteflash will part exchange you can ask them to put the three next to each other in more normal lighting to see what you think. If the tint difference is not too much I would go for the J. If you want one of the Is I would specifically ask them which is the most eye clean and go with that one. Like if one is eyeclean from 10 inches and the other from 6, go with the 6.

I do like the 2.5ct J from WF more as well and think that I and J should not too much of a different. I just ran the HCA on this 2.5ct. It scored 0.6... Is that too low? I read it somewhere that on HCA a diamond ring should range from 1-2?

My understanding is that with a super ideal cut diamond like an ACA or a CBI you can essentially ignore the HCA because you have in your possession other more objective measures of diamond performance like the obscenely perfect ASET .

For other diamonds, the HCA is a rule out tool and in general less than 1 would be considered better for pendants rather than rings. But honestly, nothing to worry about with any of those ACA stones.

Ok I got the J SI1 from WF and it’s on my hand!
Now I definitely see the warmth it shows in certain lighting. Specially when I compare them to the H and E color stone. I see it inside of my house most of the time because I have very warm lighting.

I am not sure how I feel about the warmth and think I need some time, but the J color stone is the best cut I have between these 3 diamonds. I can tell the J show more crips and I can see the arrows clearly.

The pictures attached is showing the J compared to my H. My H had been told that looks like a G serval times when I go to different jeweler, but some jeweler were able to spot it as H as well.

What a stunning stone!!! Wow!

Outside face up you can't really tell, it looks so white and crisp. Inside there's a difference for sure but I used my hand to cover up your H and you can't really tell so much.

I guess it depends on how you're going to set it? Because as with your pictures here, having it against a whiter colour will make it more obvious, but it may not be such a bothersome thing for you if it's by itself.

It is stunning!

If you get another halo you can request they match the main stone and it won’t look so warm, I would also be switching out the bulbs in the house to a cooler color lol

Overall I like the J but I’m not the one wearing it, just make sure that you look at it often and make a decision over returning or keeping it within the return period to the vendor.

I’m going to make it a solitaire. It should not be that bad. I will see how I feel, the perfect one for me would be a J color with Medium blue fluorescence, but I don’t see it on WF or Brain Gavin. Maybe I will keep it and upgrade later. I will see, heheee. I will come back later and when it’s done with the setting.

Lol I am actually considering changing all my light bulbs!

During the day time when the light is not on, the 2.5ct J color looks nice and I don’t see that much warmth in it. When night times comes and the light is on, I see the warmth shows up. The J do show warmth more easily when I compare with the H color diamond that I have and my mother’s 2.5ct I color diamond. The the yellow tint between I color and the j color is very subtle. Maybe because my H color is 1.24ct and the J is 2.5ct. I guess the bigger it gets, they will show more tint.

Hello all, I just want to come back with update that I really love the J SI1 I for from white flash! I think I like diamond with a hint of color better than G and above color diamond. For some reason HIJ color is more attractive to me and I like it has some warmth in it. My mom said she like my J better than her I color diamond. She think I ideal cut diamond is too white for her.

Here are a few pictures I have with my J color and the setting is done, so now I can finally wear it!

What a fab diamond! It looks lovely set. Your setting is pretty awesome. Please post more pictures from more angles! Also... Please check that no diamonds are either rubbing against each other or rubbing directly against metal, because they will, over time, scratch the metal/erode it.

Thanks for sharing!
