hi Everyone,

I have a few jewellery pieces I never wear, one of which is my grandmothers 25th wedding anniversary reset. She passed away last year and each of her grandchildren received a ring and some costume jewellery.

It is a very delicate illusion setting and looks very well made, probably done around 1960. It holds a .10 centre diamond with a damaged table according to the valuation, with 12 x .015 diamonds in a halo style setting. It’s a really pretty setting, but not my style not to mention I am worried about knocking it about.

I will attach some photos. However, I also have several other pieces I rarely wear and I wonder if there is any way to combine them, but they are all different cut stones. They include:

.70 princess cut diamond, 11 x .05 princess cuts in a band, with 2 x .01 argyle light pink diamonds. This is an ER & wedding band set. Actually quite lovely, but since upgraded.

I also have a lovely halo setting with my mother’s .20 transitional cut diamond set with multiple .01 and .02 diamonds.

I wonder whether I can put my mothers, and grandmothers, round diamonds together in a flat cluster style setting, which I would wear as on my RIght hand. Perhaps an E-W oval setting. I would use a rose gold band with diamonds set in a white gold oval disc shape.

Very open to suggestions around design for these small but sentimental pieces.

 All very sweet, special & sentimental pieces! I think - for your grandmother’s ring - I’d see about just having it rehabbed & converted to a pendant as-is. The table issue probably wouldn’t be noticeable as a pendant, and it’d keep your grandmother close to your heart. :wavey:

Thanks for that suggestion. I hadn’t considered that as an option.
