Heavy (big) earrings, help to avoid stretching

Hi!
I will be going to a white tie/tail coat event in a couple of weeks and found these gorgeous big, glittering earrings. They are not super heavy, but heavy enough for me to feel a little discomfort... the event will be from 14:00-22:00 so I will be wearing them for quite some time. Do any of you lovely ladies have advice re what to do to avoid my poor ear holes from stretching..? I would love any advice!

Do they have posts and backs? If so, I might order some jumbo backs. That might help. But I doubt one day would do permanent damage to your ear holes. I'd be concerned about whether you'll be comfortable with heavy earrings for that long, though.

Thank you DS! They have posts and backs, I will order jumbo backs! I am a bit worried about wearing them for such a long time too... But it may perhaps be possible to take them off for a while to rest my ears if it turns out to be too uncomfortable...

I've used "lobe wonder" by Kendra Scott with some heavy earrings before and that helped!

You could also change the backing to clip ons.

See about having them changed to clip on. There is no way in hell I'd wear a pierced earring that heavy. I'd feel on edge the whole time. Very pretty though.

I will look into clip-ons. Hadnt thought of that! Im not sure it will work, but it could be a good option. I have to add that they are not all that super heavy, but still, just a tad uncomfortable. I am not used to wearing dangling earrings anymore, but I used to wear bigger earrings when I was younger. Nowadays I only wear my tiny 0.1 ct studs.

I just want to update and say that this was amazing! I can barely feel the earrings when using patches! I also got large backs for the earrings, but what really helped was patches. The things you learn on pricescope!! What an amazing community. Thank you everyone for your help and suggestions!
