I have been looking at e-rings and I have found that hearts on fire diamonds seem to be the "sparkliest". Does anybody own a hearts on fire? Are you happy with it? Are they worth the money? I am looking at 1.5 - 2 carat.

do a search on hearts of fire for some good feedback. like any branded item, you have have to decide if the price is worth it to you. personally, i wouldn''t pay the mark-up for the branding...

Ditto.

WF ACA are just as beautiful, if not better minus the markup of HOF.

I have both ACA and HOF diamonds. If you decide to go with an ACA, you will not be disappointed. They are gorgeous stones. My HOF are also stunning, but the price is quite high, in comparison.

I am new at this. What is ACA?

If you look hard enough, you might be able to find a HoF or Hearts & Arrows stone that is very similar in price to a non-brand Ideal/excellent cut.

I have seen the HoF in person. Yes they are very pretty and sparkly but a 1 ct E SI1 goes for around $18K. For that amount of money, you can buy an almost 2 ct A Cut Above branded superideal or other non branded superideal stone. The HoF sales person could not believe how sparkly my diamond was and wondered where I purchased mine. It is a non branded superideal stone (missed the Superbcert branding by a hair, which is similiar to the Expert Selection stones sold by Whiteflash) and I paid a LOT less for it. In short, to me, it isn''t worth the money because I can get stones as well cut as the HoF for much less.

Kayla, the reason they seem to be the 'sparkliest' is because they are well-cut, and most of the other inventory in standard jewelry stores is not well-cut. The difference is obvious.

That said, ANY well-cut stone will sparkle comparably to the HOF...it doesn't have to be the HOF name.

Many have mentioned that WF's ACA diamonds are comparable, and they truly are. I own several, and they rival anything you'll see in HOF.

I also own well-cut non-branded stones (no fancy name), and those are equally beautiful.

The key to getting a sparkly stone is to get an exceptionally cut stone; a top-make stone.

As for the question "are they worth it", that really depends on what's important to you. If you don't mind online shopping, you can get a comparable product for much less money through many of the vendors here.

If you prefer to buy local, you'll have to hope local vendors either have or can bring in well-cut inventory for your consideration. I had a hard time with this myself; my local vendor could only get in one AGS0 stone at a time, it seemed, so I didn't have selection to choose from.

If you don't want the hassle of trying to chase down well-cut inventory, then the HOF markup might be worth it to you for convenience.
