Hearts & Arrows misalignment

I saw a thread where a someone was disappointed in referring to the tips of the arrows being just slightly misaligned with the shafts of the arrows on a hearts & arrows diamond.

Some say that this is a very slight effect of optical symmetry being 97% perfect instead of 100% perfect and can have no affect on the beauty or brilliance if the diamond.

True or not?

That sounds correct. My arrow''s aren''t perfect but my diamond sure is sparkley!

I don''t think the misaligned arrows would affect the brilliance of the stone and there are beautiful stones that are not hearts and arrows. However, if you are paying a premium for a stone that is being sold as H&A, the misalinged arrows would probably have an effect on the price.
