I am going in to look at a stone tomorrow and happened to be sent hearts and arrows images. I am not use to seeing H&A images for diamonds not being advertised as Hearts and Arrows. Would you say these are average, above average, or below average for a stone not advertised as hearts and diamonds. Is there any other take away points from these?

Its graded GIA excellent.

Thanks.

Not good enough.
Black background is really good at masking minor light leakage.
When you see such large amount of darkness under the table, it's got serious light leakage problem.

You mean just go ahead and not give the stone any further thought? I can potentially get ideal scope images. I am not looking to pay a ton for a H&A diamond, but I do want the diamond to look good to the person wearing it so am willing to pay more if this will not perform well in real life situations.

I can't really say whether or not you should proceed any further without knowing your budget and 4c requirement and detailed specs of the diamond you posted.
You can ask for the IS. But with back-lit white background, the IS will reveal the light leakage even more.

do you have a magnified photo of the actual diamond? It is very unusual for a vendor to provide just H&A image.

Thank you

This stone looks familiar. I hope you are not the same person I just reported a few hours ago.

you reported somebody for asking a question about a diamond on a diamond forum? this is the description of this forum:

"Issues related to diamond grading (cut, color, clarity, etc), pricing, and settings. Please post only natural diamond related questions and information here."

seems like the appropriate place to ask about this

The H&A images would show this is not a H&A stone. The hearts have tears, the chevron points are not consistent in length or thickness. So, you saying it is not a H&A stone makes sence. It would fail the QC for that label.

I also agree with flyingpig that the stone looks to be leaking light a lot.
