I have a heart shaped diamond and when I go somewhere like a club
my diamond glows and turns a blue color. Is this good or bad and I have heard
about the florescent being in diamonds, and that is what I was told about
mine. Is it better to have a diamond without this or with it?
Thanks for your help!!!!!!!!!!

In reading posts from this site, flourescence is a personal preference. I have read that it is desirable to have flourescence in a lower color graded stone as it will make the diamond appear whiter. I have med. blue flourescence in my princess cut diamond and I love it! It is very cool when you go to a club and your diamond is glowing. I have an E colored diamond and it has no effect on the color of the diamond. I have never seen my diamond to be oily looking or cloudy from flourescence which some posters have reported. Also, my jeweler pointed out that with flourescence, you can better identify your diamond if left for any repairs with a jeweler.

Flourescence isn't always bad
In fact, it makes some people glad!

With it, a diamond will face up white
And glimmer brightly in the night!

Enjoy!
