Hi all! I posted in Rocky Talky yesterday about having a ring such as this made:

Now after doing some research I’m wondering if I should go larger for the diamond. For me the point of the ring would be to have the shape of the diamond visible, if that makes sense. I know the bezel helps with that too, but I’m afraid the shape may get lost if the diamond is smaller. My budget for the stone isn’t huge (would like to keep it at $500-600 ideally) so I started looking at lab diamonds. I actually prefer lower colors such as J, K & L, and I’m ok with a lower clarity as long as it’s eye clean. I haven’t found too many lower color lab diamonds though, and I assume that’s intentional. Do you all have any recommendations? Should I stay with a smaller earth mined diamond, and keep the cute and sweet look of this ring? Or should I go a bit larger by buying a lab diamond?
