HCA vs. Brilliancescope

How do the two compare in terms of a diamonds beauty? or can you compare the two? are they equal? etc???

HCA uses LIGHT RETURN, FIRE SCINTILLATION.

Brilliancescope uses WHITE LIGHT, COLOR LIGHT, AND SCINTILLATION.

Does the HCA LIGHT RETURN similar to the Brilliancescope''s WHITE LIGHT? and FIRE to the Brilliancescope''s COLOR LIGHT?

They are different animals, but they both attempt to quantify some of the same things (as you pointed out: white light, fire, scintillation).

The BS attempts to measure the light returned from the stone. Some will criticize the BS methodology. Garry always harps on the lack of peer review for the instrument.

The HCA attemps to predict the light return from the stone''s geometry. The science for this is not perfect. The HCA also has some subjective factors thrown in in an attempt to factor in human perception.
