HCA scores--URGENT!!!!!!

Hello all:

As you know, I settled on 3 diamonds from GOG. 2 for earrings and 1 for a pendant. I was wondering about the HCA scores. The scores for the GOGs are 1.3, 1.8, 1.4, G VVS. (2 are G VVS2 and 1 is G VVS1)

The carat size is 1.03, 1.05, 1.22 and cost is 32k roughly.

Another 3 I am considering are

HCA scores
0.5, 0.8. 0.8

Carat size: 1.12, 1.14, and 1.24. All G VVS1s. The price is 34k roughly.

What is the best set to pick???

Please advise. Also, the GOG certs are from 2007, does that matter at all?

For earrings and a pendant I would def go down in clarity and save $15K. You can easily get 3 eyeclean stones for quite a bit less.

Fine. At that level it doesn''t matter at all. They''ll all be great so it''s only down to what you feel like spending. No, there is no issue with 2007 grading reports.

If it were me, I''d go with the less expensive set because, as Perfectpear said, you won''t see the difference once the stones are mounted.

Thank you for the response. I was thinking that the latter is all G VVS1 stones. I am planning to pass these on to my kids so want the diamonds to be as identical as possible. Hence the dilemma.

Yes, the pendant is for ME.

The first set. All those stones are VVS. It won''t matter that some are VVS1 and others are VVS2. All will look flawless with the eye and a loupe. I think the HCA scores between 1 and 2 are sometimes preferred. I am not sure I''ve ever seen a stone here that scored .5. Stick with what you had since it was an excellent choice.
