Hi everyone,

For a diamond that is graded by GIA as Excellent, is it possible to *roughly* estimate whether the diamond would achieve AGS Ideal by using the HCA? On the HCA, it outlines areas that would fall within GIA and AGS standards...and there is a small section that overlaps. Is it possible that if a stone falls within this overlapped area that it would *possibly* be rating by AGS as Ideal?

Thanks!

The probability is increased.
But AGS also have strict polish and symmetry and they check for light perfomance using their own software based criteria from a 3D scanned model.
