I second this! I think it gives the ring a much more romantic, antique vibe as opposed to a lot of visible prongs.
@kris01vb, I'm not a fan of the metal wrapping around the sides... I feel like it might impact the light play and sparkle of the moissanites too.![]()
Great ring idea! One like this is definitely on my wish list.
I would use white gold prongs because they are practically invisible next to the diamonds whereas with yellow gold, the prongs compete with the diamonds for notice.
But I do usually prefer yellow gold so I'd probably keep the band in yellow gold.
I would also have the sides open to allow more light to hit the stones.
I like the prongs with the sharp ends, the rounded ends as shown in the first photo seem dated to me.
Please let us see when it's finished!

It came in tonight so I didn’t get to see it in the sunlight and I can’t wait! Tried to get some color flashes by taking a pic with the flash on and it overwhelmed the camera lol. Glad I did the yellow gold prongs, they are very minimal. I don’t realize that he was making it go with the natural curve of my finger, but I’m ok with it. I thinks it’s a perfect fun spring fashion ring. I’ll get a pic outside of its sunny tomorrow.
