Hello, all.

I''m looking for a setting for an engagement ring. I''ve seen thousands at this point but I haven''t found the one just yet. I''m hoping someone has, in their travels, seen the ring of my dreams.

I''d like it to be white, preferably palladium, with a very thin shank (2 mm or less). It should be a prong or basket setting, not a bezel, set low so it has a low profile. And I''d like it to have sidestones of some sort. Ideally, it would still have enough of the metal exposed so as to have it sandblasted, because I really like that matte, modern look.

This photo is the closest I''ve come so far, but i don''t think it''s the one.

Have you seen my ring in your travels?

This SITE has a lot of matte finish.

I saw something similar on the Sholdt website. It is Model Number: R456-1PD
When you click on Our Rings ... It''s the very last one, all the way to the right under their Fremont collection.
It looks quite similar.

I hope you like it!

If not, good luck finding it ... It''s lovely!

I believe WF and exceldiamonds have something very similar

IIRC, that's a Whitney Boin setting but it's not currently on their site. You might email them with that photo and find out. I'm pretty sure they did that setting in the past.

Or...it looks like a very close setting (the rings sit right against each other), which is also a trademark of Martin Flyer so I think he could do it...but I'm thinking that actual photo was from Boin.

it looks like a Whitney Boin setting to me too. try emailing them directly or even email Pearlmans who carries the line and see if they know for sure.

Thanks for all the leads! I''ve seen the Sholdt in person, and tomorrow I''m going to go look at the Leiberfarb. And SS, I troll through Krikawa''s pages every day but I haven''t quite found anything that calls my name. I''m also going tomorrow to a jeweler who works in palladium to see if we can have something made up. I''ll keep you all posted!

You''re not going to call Whitney Boin? I''m pretty sure that''s their design.
