... lost a stone before you could even really look at it?

I received a gorgeous stone today and was admiring it in the car. I dropped it and couldn''t find it anywhere. I bought this stone just to see the cutting and how it would look in a setting. The cutting was awesome but I didn''t get a close look nor did I get to see it in a setting.

I recently bought and then quickly lost a pearl and oec diamond stickpin, so I definitely feel your pain!

Bring it in a dark garage, no lights on, and then use a flashlight to search the car. It will catch the sparkle of the flashlight.

Good luck on finding it. Hopefully, it wasn’t stuck onto your clothing and then dropped outside. I agree with the going to a dark area and searching with a flashlight. While the hose + vacuum sounds like a great idea, I’ll still be concerned it’ll get sucked into the bag.

I do that when I drop my contact lenses!

No luck still. I am going to try the vacuum idea this weekend. It might be stuck on the chair track.

i was wearing a dress with no creases and I actually saw it bounce off my leg off to the side of the car. That is why I am baffled that I couldn''t find it.

Charmy- That sucks so badly! I''ve never lost a stone, but I surely have dropped them. I''m pretty much no longer allowed to play with them anywhere but the table at home. Hubby has spent too much time looking for my little rocks

Many years ago, I wore a set of .50 tcw princess cut earrings every day. I was at work one day, and reached up to my ear, and all I felt was prongs. I searched EVERYWHERE for it, and it was gone.

About 7 days later, I was vacuuming out my office, and in the corner, reflecting the sunlight, was my princess cut diamond!
