I''m leaning towards something from antiqueengagementrings.com

Hi innerkitten!

I''m not sure if you are in LA or not but my antique-style e-ring was custom made at Bracken Jewelers on 3rd St. Promenade in Santa Monica. I just went there yesterday to get my ring re-sized and they have BEAUTIFUL antique-style wedding bands... I believe some are also estate pieces. In fact, if I remember correctly they had an emerald cut e-ring similar to yours (but your has an OEC right?)...so they should probably have something that will match!

I have been going crazy trying to find one that I like!! i have found many, but none in my pricerange! Today I tried on a really pretty hidalgo ring, but the price was over $2000 for a tiny delicate braided diamond enrusted band. It was really pretty( even prettier when I stacked a few rings on top and unde rit...) but it was a crazy price for such a simple ring.

I alo love the 5 stone look, but in my range the stnes would be smaller than what I want. I was hopnig for .25-.30 ct each, but that''s well over my budget too. hm.

treysar--

Do they have that ring on the Hidalgo website? Or can you post a picture? My e-ring is braided style!

Thanks SnoW - I just scoured their website but i didn''t find anything like it

hm, i think Reen once posted a similar one in her "stacked rings" post a few months ago. But this one was very thin and delicate. Do you have a pic of yours??? Where did you get it?

I live in San Francisco but my faher lives in West L.A. Maybe my fiance and I should go down to L.A for the weekend. There are only two good antique jewelry stores here in SF and one in Berkeley. L.A. and New York seem to have the most.
Yes my ring is and OEC.

Hi treysar :)

It was custom-made in Santa Monica (see two or three posts above)

Braided style e-ring

Sorry in advance for the blurry pictures.

oh, it is SO BEAUTIFUL I love it! It is so different!! I bet you get a million compliments on it!

I Do! (hehe) It''s absolutely perfect for my FI and I. He helped design it and is totally in love with it too!

Right now it''s gone for sizing because it turns out my ring finger shrunk half a size since I had my ring sized? Who knows. It makes me feel skinnier I guess...hehe.. I dropped the ring off yesterday afternoon and am getting it back tomorrow afternoon - I can''t wait! Thanks so much for the compliment on the ring! Do you think the braided band you saw would go well with this design? The jeweler that made my ring said he had some ideas about a matching w-band but I haven''t sat down to talk to him about it yet.

innerkitten--
Bracken is on the Santa Monica Mall side of the Promenade and it''s best to try to meet with Todd. Several people in my FI''s family get jewelry fixed/re-made/custom-made from him. I have yet to meet him but my FI said he was a great guy. It''s kind of small store but they have such wonderful antique jewelry. Usually when I go to an antique jewelry store or look at stuff online a lot of it seems gaudy but this store''s pieces were all so elegant, classic and had tons of character! I have admired your ring several times on PScope so I hope you find something equally as unique for a w-ring!!!

Snow happy, I just saw the picture of your ring. It''s sooo beautiful and totally unique.

innerkitten- if you like the antique styles, have you checked out faycullen.com? i love their eternity bands!!!

another girl i know just ordered her wband from faycullen, she got this one:
p.jpg

it was gorgeous!! she got it in yesterday and was wearing it all afternoon! hehe. she had a hard tine finding something to match her ering, which was a custom ring w/RB center w/ECs set eastwest along the shank, and pave alongthe sides too. very beautiful and unique, i wish i had a pic so you all could see. but i sent her some links, one was fay cullen, and she ended up buying from them!! hehe the things you learn from PS!

FI and I are going to have plain WG bands, w/engraving on the inside. I really really really want an eternity, but I like the idea of the plain band too, since I kinda don''t want to take it off, and the eternity I''d want to wash once in a while, and might not want to wear all the time. hopefully I can alwasy get an eternity later!!

An upgrade to an eternity band is always a great idea for a 5th anniversary or something along those lines

I feel the same way you do about not taking the band off so if I do go with something with diamonds then they''ll be 1-pt. diamonds or something sparkly but small. I love the idea of having rings engraved!

That ring is beautiful.
I LOVE the stuff on faycullen. The only thing that gets me about them is that they don''t have a return policy, only an exchange policy.

I spoke to a jeweler today that can do a custom platinum band with 8 small diamonds accross the front for $750. I thought that was a good price. I may start doing some price comparisons of custom rings by local jewelers.

My wedding band is platinum with 1/2 caret of channel set princess diamonds in it. It is in the guest bedroom upstairs, and it wants me to wear it soooo bad... but I can''t for another 20 something days. My fiancee says it is bad luck if I wear it b/f the wedding.

My band arrived on Saturday!! Just a plain satin-finish plat band from Signed Pieces, but it''s gorgeous with my ering!!

Eventually (I''m thinking 1, 2, or 5 year anni), I''m going to get a pave diamond half or 3/4 eternity band.

YAYYY JCJD...

I can just picture how beautiful a satin band will look with your e-ring. Are you going to wear them together after the wedding or just the band?

Thanks snowhappy!! I''ll do both probably - wband w/ ering and wband alone. I actually have it with me today, so I could scan it and post, but FI told me I can''t wear it until the wedding. Plus, the satin finish doesn''t match my ering, so I''m bringing it in to the jewelers today to touch it up, so I''ll post it when that''s finished.

Have you met with the jeweler yet to discuss wband ideas? Any more thoughts on that? Your gorgeous ering definitely needs something that will compliment its incredible detail!

Hey JCJD,

I replied earlier today but the computer was acting funny and I guess it didn''t go through. I can''t wait to see a picture of your wedding band with your engagement ring! Maybe you can sneak a picture ;) You e-ring is so eye-catching that a plain wedding band will go nicely. For my w-band I''m thinking about either a plain band (from signed pieces
2.gif
) or a ribbon type deal from the original design of the e-ring. (search PS: vintage tiffany)... my e-ring has the ribbon cross design but not the "tail" of the ribbon... (sorry if it''s not a clear description). So I was thinking about getting a half eternity with ribbon "tail" ends. Just 1pt. sparklies with millegrain edges to match the detail of the engagement ring. Any thoughts? THe jeweler suggested to do a third ribbon where the center stone of the e-ring is for the wedding band but I think that might be overkill?

Yay, Signed Pieces plain platinum bands are great, we got my fiance's band there. I love the Fay Cullen band above, very pretty. And I finally picked out mine. It's from Niwaka and it's much more beautiful than the picture from their site but i won't have the real thing until the end of April, so this is all I have for now. (It's the one with stones, on the right).

Oh elepri!!!

That ring is TO DIE FOR! It looks so beautiful! You HAVE to post a picture of it when you get it! Do the diamonds go all the way around? Did you find it at a B&M store?

I LOVE IT!

Thanks Snow-Happy, yes Niwaka, has a store here in NY. The diamonds are just on the front, i hope it's not going to spin too much. I'll definitely post real pictures when i get it, I can't wait!

everyone''s rings are so beautiful! i ordered my ring when i got my e-ring because its a set by Tacori. My fiance is getting the 6mm Tiffany Lucida platinum band. He wanted just a plain 6 mm platinum band and the Tiffany is actually cheaper than most no name bands we have seen!
