So I have been trying to pick out my FIs wedding band. I've been trying so hard to convince him to go rose gold (he's a ginger) but to no avail :((

BUT I have been able to give him some good taste when it comes to jewelry, too good. He wants a ring like these, sans melee.

I don't want to spend 6k on his band. I didn't really want to pay over 1k, but I'd go up to 2 is OK. And it has to be moving, not just look like a chain.

Anyone know where I can get a ring like this??

You shouldn't have shown him the most extremely expensive bands! Yikes!

I have doubts about that style lasting for 50 years, too, since they have hinges of some sort. They have something that can wear out or break.

Hahaha what can I say his choices were bad and I was trying to help. I'll buy him whatever he wants, I know hell wear it for the next 50 years. I just don't wanna spend for Leon merge or Cartier money

Wow Nielseel. I've never really been into mens rings, but now I am!!! Those are gorgeous! But, we are talking about a guy. My husband doesn't even wear a wedding band.. Not into jewelry, and also an occupational hazard!!
Will look around for other more reasonable bands for your guy!!!

Yeah my FI won't be wearing it to work either. But he really wants one. I think its cute. No one in my family wears one so I like that its important to him.

I remember someone pasting a similar ring in the past week. It was something they had custom designed and the jeweler was now selling it. I'll continue looking for the post...

I thought there was something on pricescope but I can't find it. I ended up finding the ring by searching my browser history. If I do end up finding the original post I'll let you know!

I love the one that kemurphy found!!!!

Stainless steel, inexpensive, cool moving parts: http://www.kinektdesign.com/product-gear-ring.php

(not fine jewelry, but it's kinda cool!)

I love that!! I just might do that for DH for our anniversay, he has stopped wearing the original because his knuckles are bigger., Way cool!!!

Yeah, I was just thinking that this won't necessarily be a forever wedding band since ring sizes surely can and often do change over the years, and I don't really see that this one could be sized well. Just wanted to mention that.

well if he wears it 10 or 50 years id like him to like it (and to not pay 3k  )

Yes, I definitely would not pay a lot for a ring that can't be sized! I just thought that he might not have considered that.

I really like the "moving" ring, but I'd get one and try it on and play with it.I'd worry it might catch & pull those tiny finger hairs. I like the one babs posted too - looks comfortable.
