My dear pear tree will sue if I call that "pear"

... say... "triangular cushion" or something. If it had a notch it could be a rather nice heart shape

Not that the name changes things much. Can't hate the shape, clarity is yet another question

Please understand that i am not trying to be insensitive, but this diamond is not desirable to my eyes at all. If a lady wants a brown stone, why not go for a topaz and save money. I feel that diamonds are suppose to be bright, sparkly, and clear...is it just me?? Just wondering.....

I don''t think that a brown diamond and a topaz reflect/ refract light in the same way. I have a brown diamond eternity ring, 1.12tcw and the diamonds are small, I wear it paired with an F colour, channel set half eternity band. Sounds like they don''t match, but they do : ) Anyway. The brown diamonds sparkle like the white diamonds do, and with considerable fire. All of the colours seen in the white diamonds are also seen in the brown diamonds. The yellows/ oranges/ red flashes are deeper, but I still have blues, greens and violets show up there still. The brown diamond ring was an impulse purchase, but I''m really glad that I did and I wear them together quite often.

I wish you well,

Bridget

Thank you..that actually helps me. I didn''t realize the brown diamonds had the same fire and sparkle. I have actually never seen one in person. I will be much more open minded to the idea of colored diamonds...thank you bridget for your help!!
