I've been waiting to post for awhile, but I still feel weird. Somehow I'm not too excited yet, don't know why (?)

Anyways, a happy and unlikely event has led to me receiving my dream upgrade budget. For this I thank my generous DH.

I already know I want an OEC.

Setting, I have some ideas, but not all the way sure yet.

Who should I be talking to? I'm guessing JBEG, Single Stone, who else? I'm also talking to ERD, where I bought my original e-ring stone (can trade-in with them).

Who else will have a good selection of nice OECs?

Will also appreciate any other types of suggestions. I'm feeling sort of lost.

Thanks in advance,

Anne

I would add Old World Diamonds - they have quite a selection but as with all old stones, I would be very picky about which one I'd end up with.

GOG, Leon and ERD also have modern, old cut cushions available.

Ebay is an excellent source for OEC. Search for old diamond and you will find tons of beautiful OEC.

James Meyer: http://www.jamesmeyerjewelry.com
Ann McKay: http://www.annmckaystudio.com

They both love to use OEC and OMC diamonds in their settings, and should have some in their inventory.
James Meyer showed me a beautiful antique (that is, cut in the late 19th century) diamond a month ago.

They both do incredible bezels and nice touches. If you like bezel, I would suggest you check with at least one of them.

Here is my bezel ring from James Meyer as an example:

I am sure mark can source some stones for you. That would be your best bet if you want to do a trade. But if you want to keep your original diamond, I'd probably focus on Singlestone and JBEG.

Have you considered an AV OEC/Round from GOG? They're newly cut stones in the old style but with excellent performance. They're also only sold at GOG so they wouldn't be available from anyone else. Just a thought unless your heart is set on an antique.
Here's a link and a picture of one of their AV Rounds:
