really hard to get good pics. I have not given to her, yet. Grad is May 19th. It is smaller (!) than I envisioned, but I am ok with that. The stone is a fireball, for sure. James Allen was a pleasure to work with. Actually, Carrie, in his office, helped me. Everything is great, with the exception of the box!! It needs an upgrade! Where do I get a nicer one?

I got my daughter am engraved silver medallion pendant for HS and I would like to do something nicer for college.
When I mentioned it to her, she told me, "Mom, I don''t love diamonds like you do- please don''t spend the money- I would feel so bad!"

Ann!!! You did such a fabulous job!!! Your daughter is going to be so thrilled - truly - by how stunning the necklace is, even if she doesn''t know how much research you put into it!

When I got my doctorate my parents wanted to get me some fancy atache (sp?) but honestly I would never have a need for it. I wanted a diamond pendant instead. I do love the pendant but clearly they didn''t know much about diamonds when they bought it - the princess is off square, and it doesn''t sparkle near as much as a really well cut stone would. Your daughter is lucky you put so much thought into her gift - it''s gorgeous and she is going to love it. I certainly do.

This is my special gift to her. She will be getting something else from dad and mom, she hasn''t settled on what she wants yet. The pendant is a surprise. I will probably give it to her the morning of graduation, so she can wear it under her gown.

She deserves it so much. She has worked so hard for 3 yrs.
