I'm going on a tangent here, but I love this line talking about the culmination of a piece: A finished piece is a creative product of the whole community, not belonging just the member who bought it nor the vendors who craft it. I've often thought that when I see certain SMTB threads with the piece brought about by the result of a lot of offered knowledge, design help, and general encouragement by PSers.

I don't think this is a tangent, Dee*Jay. Those of us who have had pieces turn out spectacularly only because of the overwhelming enthusiasm of fellow Pricescopers would recognize your posting as one of the most important ones made on this forum! My inside-out diamond hoop earrings, now for sale on Whiteflash, would never have been made if it had not been for this forum! I think what you wrote is very wise.

Thanks for posting that, Jimmieanne. I wasn't aware of the essay before. I'm quite amazed that the author managed to capture the PS culture of that time, and the demise of the political threads that were, so succinctly!
