has anyone got info on transmitter diamonds

from time to time i hear people speak of color changing diamond.like alexandrite or color chg saphire.i personally dont think there are a such animal as color change diamond being made of one element carbon couldnt exibit this charachteristic.i remember something about transmitter diamond something about light retention and heat?anyone hear this?is there such thing?i asked everyone no one has any clue what it is.awhile back i read short paragraph on this if anyone can enlighten me i would appreciate it
