I don''t know if this is the correct place to post this, but pricescope really helped me during the buying process, maybe there is help here for the selling process??? I purchased a beautiful 2.13 asscher cut stone from GOG about three years ago and had it set by Leon Mege. The engagement was broken and my fiance did not want the ring back. The stone has a buy back guarantee from GOG, however the side stones and setting by Leon are so amazing I hate to seperate all the pieces. Has anyone sold a diamond ring ever? Any advice is appreciated.

HOW MUCH DO YOU WANT FOR IT?

(takes deep breath)...I was overcome with desire for a moment there, but I''ve collected myself now. Wish I did have the dough for such a masterpiece, but no.

I hope it goes to someone who can truly appreciate it. I have no experiencing selling diamonds, but I did buy one off craigslist. You won''t get what you paid for it and you have to be really careful not to get scammed, though. Wish I had more advice for you. I''m sure some other PSers will have some options. Best of luck!

The funny thing is, no one would appreciate this ring more than a pricescoper. And I would love for it to go to a very good home with someone who would appreciate it. It''s truly a masterpiece. I would hang on to it, but just too many bad memories.

perhaps Leon could sell it on consign for you?

I will email him, I wasn''t aware that he did that. Thanks for the suggestion!

pearlmans does consignment as well. You might also look selling it at diamond bistro.

You should also contact GOG. They may also be willing to help out a customer.

Leon, GOG, and Pearlmans in that order.

Leon does have an estate section and has sold his jewelry on consignment before so I would start there personally.

You might try a local estate liquidator that specializes in jewelry (If you have one). A lot of them can consign them out to stores they are affiliated with. For a small fee of course, but their ability to sell them is usually pretty good.

These all seem like good options.

And I am sorry about your broken engagement
