Just so curious. I got sucked into the black hole of reading old PS posts (fascinating!) and started reading all the recut threads. I loved seeing the before and afters, and then I saw one about getting a modern round turned into more of an OEC facet:

It got me to wondering: has anyone ever had a modern cushion diamond recut to make it more antique style? Either to an AVC or just a chunkier style? And do you think it would be possible?

Depends, most Antique cushions are far deeper than modern cushions so the issue you have is it's probably not worth losing the carat weight needed to recut the stone into an Antique. Unless it's a deep stone to start with you would probably have better luck recutting it to be a better cut modern cushion.

Someone at GOG would be able to tell you based on numbers if it was worth it or not.
