All,

I am new to the forum, as this is my first post. I have been using the site and all your experiences for a few months now to help me purchase a diamond. I have purchased a diamond (1.8ct F/VS1 Cushion) with the cushion leaning to the square side. Now I need a setting...

I am looking for your thoughts, comments, and pictures of Harry Winston inspired Cushion Halo's. Who replicates or does their own spin on this the best? LM? SK? I have budgeted $5k for the setting. I want it to be very delicate (1.5mm-1.8mm) and would like the halo to match the band in this size, unless there are reasons not to do this. I want the halo and the band to have a more rounded appearance. Any thoughts, comments and information will be appreciated.

Thank you!

Example of what I am leaning toward...

Gypsy,

Thank you for that link, I had never read that before, and it really put things into perspective for me. For me, VC was by far my favorite. I would like somthing exactly what he did there just with a cushion center.

There you go.

I have a Steven Halo personally, in that style and it's perfect. So I would use either or, if it were me and I'd get quotes from both. Steven DOES hand make his rings, despite Frankie's claims, he handmade mine and my appraiser verified it.

Victor really does do beautiful work, you'll find lots of gorgeous new pieces from him on this site. I also think the setting you posted in your first post from Leon Mege is stunning too! There are quite a few rings like that from him on this site as well if you look around. I'll try to post some if I get a chance...

Yes, but she was talking about hers, not yours, yes? Maybe he used a different process with parts of hers, but even if he did that doesn't mean your ring wasn't. Your ring is gorgeous BTW.
