Hanging out with Poppy

I met up with Ginger (and DH) and Poppy (and one other) today- yay!
It has made the decision for my next ring project easier .... Unfortunately, my asscher was a little sick and is getting TLC at the jewellers ( i will post more when i get my asscher semi-tension ring back)... so, our blings did not have a play date.

Here are the pics..... excuse my broken finger.

I have to say the colours are just amazing, facing up bright; the facetting scrumptious. It has to do with the cut for sure!!!

I can't get to the profile picture but it doesn't allow me to change it. May have to reboot this computer... it cant find my printer either... so a reboot is necessary- if that doesn't work i have to try it with a REAL BOOT!!!!

Well, I'd be there, applauding your every move... but can't say as I'd be able to afford the AUS to US flights!!! I think you'd be a real hoot to meet and a lot of fun!! I'm jealous that JG got you all to herself! (well, poppy had to share, but you KWIM!!)

Geeeez Greg, I hope your finger is doing better!! I recently accidentally walked in on my 13yo son getting dressed and he accidentally slammed the door on my finger in return! That will teach me to knock.

I'm incredibly jealous that you got to play with Poppy! Isn't she ahhmazing!! I better Ginger was disappointed to have missed out playing with your incredible asscher as well!

That broken finger was an old injury- 21 yrs ago, i think.

It was lovely meeting you, Greg - I'm glad you enjoyed spending time with my bling. DH doesn't enjoy these pieces nearly as much as you.

These photos really illustrate the magic of a halo. My engagement ring center stone is 1.73 carats, versus Poppy at 4.65 carats. Thanks to the halo, these rings have almost the same finger coverage. I had never really matched them up on the same finger before, so hadn't noticed how closely they are sized.
