Hi everyone, I posted last week with a picture of my e-ring and wedding band, and now I finally have a few of the hand shots everyone was so interested in! The original picture: (Yes, I know the price tag is still there... but you can''t see the price, those are just item numbers or something)

Specs:
round brilliant
measurements 8.11-8.18 x 5.04 mm
weight 2.03 carat

depth 61.9%
table 55%
girdle THIN TO SLIGHTLY THICK, FACETED
Culet NONE
Finish
Polish EXCELLENT
Symmetry EXCELLENT
Clarity Grade VS1

My FI selected the stone and designed the setting himself as a modified Tiffany''s setting, but set higher and with 4 prongs instead of 6.
The wedding band is from Cartier, the specs are .66 total carats, and as good or better than the e-ring stone.

My ring finger is a size 6 1/4; I have fairly long fingers, not tiny hands :-)

Unfortunately these aren''t in natural light so they don''t show any of the incredible sparkle of this diamond.... but I have to get my fiance to take them, my camera only takes blurry diamond pics!

VERY beautiful. Love your ring and band together. Classic!

Ummmm goosebumps. I secretly (ok, not so secretly) covet that Cartier band too! Sometimes names just "get" me ... DELUXXXE. Big non-"name" stone & name band! SMASHING. Best of both worlds!

Beautiful stone - and I just love how the ering looks with that gorgeous diamond band!!!!!!!!

Thanks everyone for your comments :-) My ring doesn''t look nearly as large as some other comparable stones- I feel like I must have big hands! I was going for the "classic and elegant" look- or rather, my fiance was, he designed it without any help from me- so I''m glad to know I succeeded!

Your rings are very beautiful!! I really love this look as well! As a matter of fact, I am looking for the exact same thing in a 1.5 ct. (G, VS)!

Hey Coll,
Just wondering where the actuall e-riing and stone are from? In every post you have the same description/photo of the joint set but I cannot recall reading where the stone and setting were purchased.

The e-ring diamond is actually directly from DeBeers. My Fi went through USAA, the military banking/insurance company, and they were able to negotiate the purchase for him, since they refused to sell directly to an individual. The setting was designed by my FI and created by a small jeweler near Cherry Hill, NJ: Avian Jewelers.

Coll, your rings are beautiful! I love the simple, classy look of a solitaire. In fact, I am thinking of changing my setting to a solitaire. There''s something about it that makes the diamond stand out more. When you have a beautiful well cut diamond, you don''t need any other embelishments.

Thanks, Leila, I totally agree- and so does my FI. I have been so totally happy with it, I still stare at it and admire it every day, and I got engaged over 6 months ago!

Oh you lucky girl! Are ya''ll already married? Wedding date?

Mata- not yet! We''re getting married May 13 of this year. Less than four months!

Our photo taking ability is lacking, but hope you like the picture. The band is about 6 years old, the solitaire is my new found treasure. My husband made a lot of brownie points when he suprised me with this beauty. He will give you all the details later about the adventure he went on to get this for me. Ms Dhog
