Is there a link showing RB stones with and without halos? I''d love to see the difference that a halo makes. I have a 2.07 RB to set and I can''t decide whether or not to put a halo on it. I looove halos in general but I don''t want to take away attention from the center stone. So if anyone has pictures of a ring before and after halo settings, please share!
Also, I''m thinking about going to Leon for the setting. Does anyone know what the average price of his halo settings run?

What style do you like most? Your diamond is a great size and will look fabulous by itself. Personally I think diamonds set as a solitaire look classic and most elegant. I feel halo's are great for small stones. You can always get a halo for your right hand with a smaller stone and have both styles.

A 2.07 rb is substantial enough to stand on its own. I do think a halo would be distracting.

I think it is really a function of the size of the halo. While a larger halo might detract from the stone, a smaller/more delicate halo might not.

This is the same stone with the halo. It's a matter of preference. In my case, I prefer the halo

IRL, the halo stones are tiny!

This is a close up pic of my ring without the halo. The four side stones were 20 points each.

risingsun, I love your halo setting! The solitaire is beautiful too but the halo just pops out. Dilemma!!!
Thanks for the opinions. I think I''ll have to go to a store and try on some settings to see which ones I like the best.

its a matter of personal preference, but have you tried on any halos IRL? I love halo online but when I tried it on, it did not suit my hands well. just a thought, but your 2 ct is substantial on its own though

For a stone that size, I probably would not do a halo. But that''s JMO.

Well, my stone is a 5.13 and a halo, i think its really nice actually, as long as you carefully choose the stone''s size so it doesnt over power the look as a whole.

I love halo rings but I don''t care for them on me. Not much help from me other than my humble opinion.

Thanks, chiapet! I think going some jewelry stores is a great idea. Until you try some on, you really can't tell what will look best on your hand. Keep us informed and get some pics, if you can

If you want a halo, I think a dainty one would look very pretty with your size of diamond. The Tacori 2620 comes to mind.

I thought I wanted a halo for the loooongest time, and I was a little disappointed when I didn''t get one. Now, I''m very glad I didn''t because I think the halo look is not for me. I love to see them on PS and on other people, but they don''t look quite right on me.

I think you''re doing the right thing by going and trying them one. Try on a little bit of everything, even setting you might not have had in mind. That''s how I found my wedding ring--a SA told me to try on a ring I was so-so about, but once it was on my hand, it looked perfect with my e-ring and just right for my hand. You never know what you might find appealing, so please try on a variety of rings and see what looks best on you.

Happy shopping!
