Halo questions

Hello, I am resetting my diamond in a halo setting. It has a split shank. My questions are:

1. How could I modify it to make it more interesting? Plain split shank vs. diamond split shank for ex

2. Circle band vs. flush fit matching contour band

3. Platinum vs white gold. Think I'm 99% going w/ platinum. wonder how much heavier it will be.

I don't know how to answer your questions in regards to making your ring more interesting.
I suggest going with platinum when utilizing a halo-style setting. The extra weight is not something that should really be of concern compared to the overall integrity of the ring/setting (halo settings are often considered "delicate" and platinum is more durable).

Suggestion to make it more "interesting". You can pave diamond the rim or simply add a "surprise" stone of each of your birthstones on the side of the stone . Take a look at some of the desinger companies IDJ or Ritani and look at the settings on their sides and see if anything tickles your fancy.
