Halo Questions help needed thanks

Hi thinking of restyling a 1 carat round brilliant solitaire with a double white gold round halo with a yellow band. Questions I have are
1. Does round halo suit round diamonds best ?
2. The total carat weight of the halo would be 1.41 carat . The stones will match the centre diamond. I have been reading up other halo posts and it's mentioned are the diamonds single cut 1/2 point or 1 point. Melee , pave etc. I'm confused
What questions should I ask the goldsmith in advance of going ahead ?

Most halos are NOT single cut (usually only used for antique stones). Halos can be half
pointers or 1 pointers. Depends on the look you are going for.
What questions should I ask the goldsmith in advance of going ahead ?

Ask him for CADs so you can fix/change anything you dont like about the setting before
its made. Also ask to see any examples of work (or at least pictures) of halos that he
has done in the past. Not everyone has the expertise to do them correctly. Also ask if
you can get a wax cast of the ring so you can try it on and make sure its what you're
looking for before it's made.

Edit...post the CADs here so we can have a look. We have a lot of PSers who have had
rings made and can evaluate the CADs for possible issues.

Thanks a mil. Pic below is what I have currently a 1.01 solitaire and the top is the halo I'm thinking of. White gold halo on a yellow band though. This is the work of the goldsmith for another client What do you think ?
