Hi everyone!
I''m fairly new and in need of your expert opinion. I have a .504 AGS000 RB solitaire in a cathedral setting whose shank is 2.5 - 3.0 mm. I am planning to get a half-eternity band from Signed Pieces but can''t decide on the size of the diamonds. I went to many B&M''s to try half-eternity bands for size and found that eleven .045 to .05 pointers matched my ring well, but I''d like to go bigger. This ring is an "update" of my old w-ring which is .31 ctw/7 stones = .04, so I wanted something bigger for a change (read my full story about my old rings here - scroll down to the bottom). I also tried on some 10 pointers and thought they looked great (especially if I want to the w-ring alone, which I''m planning to) - very pretty, but my solitaire seemed to "blend" in with the set. I thought 7 pointers would be a good compromise. I also want the look of full eternity and want the stones to come all the way down to the sides of my finger. I wear a 4.5 so it won''t take a lot of stones to go down half-way around.
For half- or full-eternity band owners: Do the stones between your fingers irritate your skin?
Please post pictures of 7 pointer half-eternity bands paired with under 1 ct. stones if you have any!
I''m looking at .75/11 stones =0.069 (2.8 mm wide and 2.1 mm thick). The band should come <2.5 mm thick to fit under the surprise diamond on my e-ring setting. Here is the link to SP: http://www.signedpieces.com/item.cfm?item_id=3783
The manager at SP suggested I go with 0.59 ctw/ 11 = .054 (2.6 mm) ... It sounds good, but I want more bling.
PLEASE HELP!
Thanks in advance!
