Had so much fun RINGing in the New Year!

I'm officially going to be somebody's wife! Ahh! We had a quiet evening in planned, but he threw me off by wanting to hang out with his sister's family for awhile early in the evening. We then went to his house, where he made a nice dinner and a fun dessert. He proposed at midnight on the east coast when the ball dropped. (We live in the central time zone, but I was starting to get a bit sleepy, so he was worried I would fall asleep if he waited until our midnight.) It was all very sweet, and the ring is perfect! I can't believe it is finally official! I hope there are others who have some good news to share!

Thank you everyone! I couldn''t be happier. It''s been so much fun telling friends and family and showing off the ring. And yes, he did do very well on the ring. We looked at rings together one day, and then he went back and he and the jeweler designed the ring based on my preferences. I love it, and it turned out better than I could have expected! I don''t have all the stats on the diamond. But a friend of mine just got engaged with a 1.2 carat ring, and he said mine is a little bigger than that. I''m sure at some point, I''ll ask to see the stats, but for now, I''m happy just to stare at it The ring is size 5.75, and the band is probably between 2.5 and 3 mm wide.

I hope 2010 is a wonderful year for all of you in this forum!
