I am down to my final 2 diamonds and now I need to decide today which one I go with... If I go with stone 1 (H&A) it is $1,200 more than stone 2 (not H&A)... I think stone #2 looks pretty nice for a non H&A (and I like paying $1,200 less)

So in conclusion, do you feel stone #1 is worth $1,200 more than stone #2?

I like the fact that stone 2 is 1.31 ct...

Is there a visible difference between a stone thats 1.2ct. and 1.3ct?

both look good. The price difference is not just base on the H&A but also on the lower color.

They are both excellent diamonds and either will make a beautiful ring.

The extra $1200 is paying for:

Higher color
Better upgrade policy
Better lifetime buyback policy

What are those worth to you? If you never plan on upgrading and I color works for you, I would get the JA stone. If you ever think that upgrading will be a possibility or your gf is color sensitive, then the WF diamond may be worth the extra.

H&A cut precision is nice for "mind clean" reasons--if a person just has to know they have the best of the best. In everyday viewing, it has minimal, if any advantage over a well cut non H&A stone. Some people want to pay a small premium for that reassurance, others don't.

The difference is face up size is .2mm of diameter. Side by side, unmounted you might be able to see the difference, but not when just seeing them one at a time.

BTW: You need to post the images in the thread. Links to outside hosting sites are against PS policy and the links will be pulled.
