Guy Laroche? Any special value for this designer?

I have a necklace which I believe is gold and peridot. I don't wear it much. I was thinking about having it taken apart and using the stones for another project. I noticed on the side it is stamped Guy Laroche. A quick google search says he is a French fashion designer. I found mostly clothes and a couple stamped pieces on 1stDibs. Anyone know if this designer is anything notable? Any reason not to disassemble my piece! Thanks!

I remember the designer name from the 70’s and 80’s. I live in Europe and it may be that the name is better known there. I’m sure you found this ring on 1st Dibs, which looks to be the same line.
