GUESS THE PRICE of this band...
Here's the story,
I was not quite happy with the previous wedding band I had as it was too thick in my opinion. My fiance wanted me to get something that I like so we went ring-shopping today with the 'Just looking around' intentions and have no intention to purchase one today.
We went to a few jewelry store and have not found one that I like until we reach Tiffany&Co. It was a very sleek eternity band but I was scare off by the price at almost USD$3k for a band like that? I guess it was costly partly due to the goodwill of that T&C brand.
So we continue the ring shopping and went back to my previous wedding band's jewelry store. I told the SA my feel about the ex-wedding band and that I wanted something very sleek, thin etc etc.
She took out 2 bands that fit my criteria and surprisingly I caught the liking of the cheaper one of those 2.
It was like love at 1st sight, it look exactly the same as the T&C one just that it was not eternity but rather half covered with diamonds. And it was much much sleeker and thinner than the T&C one, so practically this is IT!
I knew it was the wedding band i wanted. I was shown the white gold one, and she said she had a rose gold one, of course definitely I chose the ROSE GOLD version.
Best of all, she ask about my previous wedding band and I told her I bought from her jewelry store and I ask whether can I do a trade-in, she said YES! Just that I have to minus 25% from the previous wedding band's cost.
My previous band cost USD$350 and after the 25% deduction, I am left with USD$262.
The new band cost only USD$179!!! Did I score a good deal (IT WAS USD$2821 CHEAPER THAN THAT T&C ONE)!!?
So I left another USD$83 for purchase of another item.
I figured that I need a pair of ear rings, so she got me one that I love too and I top up additional $116 for the pair of ear rings.
